Quick read: We're a marketplace that finds you the lowest skip bin price from vetted suppliers across Australia. We collect payment, you book in 30 seconds, the supplier delivers and picks up. Full legal terms below.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using HireSkipBins.com.au ("the Website"), or by making a booking, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. What we do

HireSkipBins.com.au is a skip bin hire marketplace that connects customers with independent skip bin suppliers across Australia. We:

Search our supplier network to find you the lowest available price
Process your booking and payment securely
Pass your delivery details to the matched supplier
Email you a tax receipt at booking

The skip bin hire itself is performed by independent suppliers, not by us. Suppliers are responsible for delivery, pickup, and the condition of the bin.

3. Booking and Payment

All prices displayed are in AUD and include GST
The price shown at booking is the total price you pay — no hidden fees, no surcharges at delivery
Payment is required upfront at the time of booking
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Apple Pay via a PCI-compliant payment processor
Prices are subject to change without notice; the price you see at booking is locked in for that booking
Additional charges may apply for overweight bins, prohibited waste, or extended hire periods (the supplier will notify you before charging)

4. Cancellation Policy

More than 48 hours before delivery: Full refund
24–48 hours before delivery: 50% refund
Less than 24 hours before delivery: No refund
After delivery: No refund

5. Skip Bin Usage

When using a skip bin, you agree to:

Not fill the bin above the rim (overloaded bins cannot be safely transported)
Only dispose of the waste types specified in your booking
Not place prohibited items in the bin: hazardous waste, asbestos, chemicals, paints, batteries, gas bottles, tyres (unless tyre disposal addon selected), mattresses (unless mattress addon selected), electronics, liquids, food waste
Ensure safe and legal placement of the bin
Obtain any required council permit if placing the bin on public property (street, nature strip, etc.)

6. Weight Limits

Light / general waste: ~150kg per cubic metre
Heavy waste (soil, concrete, bricks): No weight limit, but heavy-waste bins are restricted to smaller sizes (typically 2–4m³)

Overweight bins may incur additional charges from the supplier.

7. Delivery and Collection

Delivery and pickup times are estimates — exact times depend on the supplier's run that day
You must ensure clear vehicle access for delivery and collection
Failed delivery due to access issues, gates locked, or vehicles blocking the drop spot may incur a redelivery fee
Standard hire period is 7 days unless otherwise specified
Suppliers do not deliver on Sundays

8. Information we share with the supplier

When you book, we share your name, contact phone, email, and delivery address with the matched supplier so they can deliver the bin and contact you if needed. Suppliers must use this information only for fulfilling your booking — see our Privacy Policy for more detail.

9. Liability

HireSkipBins.com.au acts as a marketplace and is not responsible for:

Damage to your property during delivery or collection (raise with the supplier directly; their insurance covers this)
Service quality issues with individual suppliers (we'll help resolve and may offer compensation, but the supplier is the primary party)
Delays caused by traffic, weather, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Environmental contamination from waste you dispose

This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)).

10. Consumer Guarantees

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under Australian Consumer Law. If you're a consumer as defined in the ACL, you have guarantees about acceptable quality and fitness for purpose that we cannot exclude.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — text, graphics, logos, code, and images — is the property of Hire Skip Bins Pty Ltd or licensed to us, and is protected by Australian copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, or commercially use any content without our written permission.

12. Privacy

Your use of our services is governed by our Privacy Policy, which covers what information we collect (including tracking via UTM parameters, click IDs, cookies), how we use it, and who we share it with.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Please contact us first — we resolve most issues within 24 hours. If we can't reach agreement, the dispute may be referred to mediation (Law Society of NSW).

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date above tells you when these terms last changed.

Marketplace Terms and Conditions

Hire Skip Bins Pty Ltd ABN 56 609 593 964 ("Hire Skip Bins") provides a booking platform, payment platform and introductory service between a customer who requires skip bin(s) hire ("Customer") and a supplier who is able to supply skip bin(s) hire ("Supplier") (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are available at www.hireskipbins.com.au (the "Site").

Contract

These Marketplace Terms and Conditions ("Terms") form a binding legal agreement between Hire Skip Bins, its directors, officers, employees, successors and assignees, and each person, organisation or entity using the Services including the Customer and the Supplier ("User"). By using the Site and Services, each User agrees to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms.

The User's use of the Site and the Services indicates that: the User has had sufficient opportunity to access these Terms; has read, accepted and will comply with the Terms; has legal capacity to enter into a contract; and is 18 years or older. If not, the User is not permitted to use the Services.

These Terms may be amended from time to time without prior notice. Continued use after amendment is deemed acceptance. Hire Skip Bins' agents, employees, and third parties do not have authority to change these Terms.

Introductory Service Only

The Site provides an online introductory, booking, and payment platform. By providing the Customer's information (delivery postcode, skip bin size, waste type, drop-off and collection dates) via the booking platform ("Request"), Hire Skip Bins will: (a) search the supplier database for the lowest available price; and (b) provide the Customer a quote for the Supplier Services ("Quote"). The Quote is the total amount payable by the Customer. When a Customer books a Supplier Service in response to a Quote ("Booking"), the Supplier receives the Customer's Request and contact details by email, and the Customer receives the Supplier's name and contact details by email.

Each User understands that the Site is an online introductory platform only. Hire Skip Bins' responsibilities are limited to facilitating the availability of the Site and the Services. Hire Skip Bins makes no guarantee that it will provide the lowest price. Hire Skip Bins is not a party to any agreement entered into between a Customer and a Supplier.

Customer / Supplier Conduct

Each Customer acknowledges that any communications with a Supplier (and vice versa) are at their own risk. Hire Skip Bins does not guarantee that Customers or Suppliers have genuine intentions. Any activity that is suspicious, illegal, or likely to harm the reputation of Hire Skip Bins should be reported immediately.

Payments and Limited Payment Collection Agent

Each Supplier appoints Hire Skip Bins as the Supplier's limited payment collection agent solely for the purpose of accepting Supplier Fees from the Customer. Payment of Supplier Fees by a Customer to Hire Skip Bins (as that Supplier's limited payment collection agent) is considered the same as payment made directly to the Supplier. Suppliers are paid fortnightly via direct deposit into their nominated bank account, less commission and applicable fees.

Customers must pay by credit card or Apple Pay via a PCI-certified third-party payment processor. In the absence of fraud or mistake, all payments made are final, subject only to the Refund Policy.

Refund Policy (full)

A full refund will be provided where the Supplier fails to deliver the skip bin.
A full refund applies when the Customer no longer wishes to proceed with the Booking, provided cancellation is confirmed in writing at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled delivery.
Cancellations made 24–48 hours before delivery incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations within 24 hours of delivery incur a 100% cancellation fee (no refund).

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hire Skip Bins disclaims all warranties (express or implied) regarding the Site, Services, accuracy of information, availability, and the conduct of Suppliers. Hire Skip Bins' total liability arising out of or in connection with the Site, Services, or these Terms is limited to the total fees paid by the User to Hire Skip Bins in the 12-month period prior to the event giving rise to the liability, or AUD $100 if no such payments have been made. This limitation does not exclude consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

Indemnity

Each User agrees to defend and indemnify Hire Skip Bins (and its parent, related bodies corporate, officers, directors, contractors, employees, and agents) from any claims, actions, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of the User's use of the Services, any breach of these Terms, any wilful or negligent act or omission, and any violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.

Intellectual Property

All logos, content, designs, graphics, images, code, and other intellectual property displayed on the Site are owned by or licensed to Hire Skip Bins. Nothing in these Terms constitutes a transfer of intellectual property. Users may not copy, imitate, or use any such intellectual property without prior written permission.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law

These Terms, use of the Site, the Services, and any related dispute are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New South Wales courts.

Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is determined invalid by a competent authority, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms represent the entire agreement between Hire Skip Bins and each User regarding the Services.
