- Booking details: bin size, waste type, delivery and pickup dates
- Payment information: credit/debit card details processed via a PCI-compliant payment processor (we don't store full card numbers on our servers — see Section 4.2 below)

2.2 Information we collect automatically
- Device and browser: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, screen size
- Behaviour: pages visited, time on page, referrer URL, links clicked
- Cookies and session data: Yii session cookies, Yii CSRF token (security), and Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics cookies (loaded only after first user interaction — see Section 6)
- First-touch attribution: When you first land on our site, we capture and store (in a session cookie) the following so we know how customers find us: UTM parameters (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_term,utm_content); Google Ads click ID (gclid); Facebook click ID (fbclid); Microsoft Ads click ID (msclkid); HTTP referrer; and the URL you first landed on. This is used internally to attribute leads to marketing campaigns. It is not shared externally.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfil your skip bin booking
- Match you with a verified supplier in your area and share your delivery details with them
- Send booking confirmations, receipts, delivery reminders, and operational updates
- Process payments via our PCI-compliant payment processor
- Provide customer support and respond to enquiries
- Investigate and resolve disputes or complaints
- Improve our Site, content, and supplier matching
- Send marketing communications (only with your consent, with an unsubscribe option in every message)
- Measure marketing effectiveness via attribution data
- Comply with legal obligations (tax records, AML/CTF, debt recovery)
4. Who we share your information with
4.1 The matched supplier
When you book, we share with the matched supplier: your name, phone, email, delivery address, suburb, postcode, delivery notes, bin size, waste type, delivery date, and pickup date. The supplier needs this to deliver and pick up your bin. Suppliers are contractually required to use this information only for fulfilling your booking.
4.2 Service providers we use
Some third-party services process your data on our behalf to make the Site work. These are bound by their own privacy policies and (where relevant) data processing agreements with us:
- Payment processor — a PCI-compliant third-party payment gateway processes your card and Apple Pay payments. We do not store full card details on our servers.
- Transactional email service — a third-party email delivery provider sends booking confirmations, delivery reminders, and operational emails via secure SMTP.
- Google services (including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads conversion tracking) — site analytics and ad measurement. These scripts load only after your first interaction with the page (scroll, click, tap, or after 4 seconds) so they don't slow down your initial visit. Anonymised usage data is sent to Google. You can opt out via your browser settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Australian web hosting — your data is stored on servers physically located in Australia.
- Internal team communication tools — when you submit a quote or booking, a notification (containing your first name, email, phone, suburb, bin size, and booking details) is posted to a private internal team channel so our operations team can respond promptly. These channels are not public and not accessible to anyone outside our team.
4.3 Legal and regulatory
We may disclose your information to courts, tribunals, regulators, or law enforcement when required by law, in connection with legal proceedings, or to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights. If you fail to pay amounts owed, your information may be passed to a credit reporting agency or debt collection service.
4.4 Business transfer
If there is a sale, merger, or transfer of our business, we may transfer your information to the new owner, subject to applicable privacy law.
4.5 What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent.
5. Data storage and security
Your information is stored on servers located in Australia. We use:
- HTTPS / TLS encryption for all data in transit
- PCI-compliant payment processing — full card numbers never touch our servers
- Hashed password storage for supplier accounts
- Role-based access controls for staff
- Regular software updates and security patching
No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee that information transmitted over the internet will not be intercepted; you provide information at your own risk. If a notifiable data breach occurs (under the Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017), we will notify affected users and the OAIC as required.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies: Yii session cookie + CSRF token. Required for the Site to function (login, quote form, checkout). These cannot be disabled.
- Attribution cookies: Session-only storage of the first-touch attribution data (UTM, gclid, fbclid, msclkid, referrer). Cleared when you close your browser.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 (loaded after first interaction). You can opt out via your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Marketing cookies: Google Ads conversion tracking (loaded after first interaction). You can disable personalised ads via Google's Ad Settings.
You can control cookies via your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will break parts of the Site (you won't be able to book).
